This board has equipped powerful automation capabilities by offering an automation editor to users and helping them create intelligent rooms, buildings, or parks. There are also available Latest Blueprints Exchange topics - Home Assistant Community contributed by the Home Assistant community, for users directly using it.

It only requires one software to manage all the equipment. Meanwhile, there are also services that can be used in the Home Assistant Demo and automation for users to get information about the commute like the air quality in the area, or the latest currency exchange rates. Paired with supported sensing hardware, it enables people to monitor their energy usage and trends over time, offering Home Energy Management - Home Assistant and management.

The Home Assistant Yellow Kit with Power Supply includes the latest Zigbee radio chip from Silicon Labs, which is forward-compatible with the upcoming Matter smart home connectivity standard. 

It includes an M.2 expansion port for NVMe SSD hard drive for expanding available space. It contains a gigabit Ethernet, 2 USB 2.0 Type-A host ports, and 1 USB-C 2.0 device port. It also has a high-quality stereo audio DAC with a 2V RMS line out on a 3.5mm audio jack.

The board supports both the Power-over-Ethernet power supply and power adapter. With a PoE-compatible switch or router, you can communicate and power Home Assistant Yellow with a single Ethernet cable.
